Andrew Shaw runs EZ Street Productions, a recording, mixing, and mastering studio he owns and operates out of Dorchester, in Boston, Massachusetts. Years spent as a DJ built the foundation of his ear for music, and time spent working for a hi-fi manufacturer further sharpened his critical listening to a professional standard. His studio has become a hybrid setup built around a growing arsenal of hardware, and he eventually wired in a Flock Audio patchbay so visiting artists could plug in their own gear without hassle. Clients who have booked sessions with him point to his knack for finding the right levels for a song and the comfortable, relaxed vibe of his room, and his engineering, mixing, and mastering credit appears on releases like The Real DNation's 'Skat Freestyle,' alongside associate producers Rusti Pendleton and Kirt Gaines. As he puts it himself, his mission at EZ Street Productions is simply to serve the music in the best way possible, whether that means recording a vocal take or finishing a final master.
