The Quasar monitors are an integral part of my creative process. Their precision and power give me the freedom to shape sound exactly as I envision it, while maintaining a natural and inspiring listening experience. They faithfully translate my musical intentions, from the first sketch to the final mix.
About
Baptiste Thiry
Baptiste Thiry has spent nearly two decades scoring the true stories that end up on French primetime, from the pioneering pediatric psychiatrist profiled in Francoise Dolto, l'Enfance au Coeur to the 80th-anniversary TF1 event documentary D-Day, 100 jours pour la liberte. Raised on drums, trumpet, piano and guitar from the age of six before training at the ATLA school in Pigalle, he brings a self-taught, genre-crossing ear to work that swings between intimate piano-and-orchestra writing and full cinematic force. That range earned him a Mark Award from the Production Music Association in the US for his score to a Guinness campaign, plus recognition at the Deauville Green Awards. A permanent SACEM member, he still records and produces most of his scores himself out of his own studio in Rouen, most recently turning his attention to France Televisions' Tchernobyl, une tragedie sans fin.
