After an A/B shootout against several popular ATC monitors, our team agreed that Ex Machina delivers superior low-end extension and matching midrange quality. Between the sealed, non-ported cabinet design and the coaxial tweeter, I knew right then I had to buy a pair for myself!

Matt Sim (also credited as Matthew Sim) is a Grammy-winning and multiple Grammy-nominated mixing and mastering engineer working in Stereo, Dolby Atmos and 360RA, now based between Taipei and Hong Kong after cutting his teeth as a staff mixer at the legendary Hit Factory (Germano Studios) in New York City following his studies at Berklee College of Music. Over a career dating to 2014, he has built a catalog of thousands of mixes and billions of streams, moving fluidly between Western pop, hip hop and R&B sessions for names like Eminem, Post Malone, Frank Ocean and Bette Midler and the K-pop, C-pop and Thai pop worlds of Jackson Wang, Eason Chan, G.E.M. and Jeff Satur, work that has made him an in-house Dolby Atmos mixer for Warner Music Asia and a pre-approved immersive mixer for Universal and Sony. His mix of Matt B and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra's ALKEBULAN II earned a Grammy Award for Best Global Music Album, part of a run of accolades that also includes French gold, platinum and diamond certifications for OBOY and Aya Nakamura releases and Golden Melody Award nominations for Jude Chiu and Matzka. He describes himself as fast and accurate by necessity, having spent years diversifying his client base and streamlining his workflow to sustain a full-time career purely on mixing and mastering.
