Pulsar
"I adopted the Ex Machina Pulsars in 2022 and have been super happy with their performance. I did not want a 2.1 speaker system as I feel like you are always compromising with the sub placement. So the Pulsar's appealed to me as a complete system option. They offer a clarity and transient response that I now rely on when working with detailed editing and mixing. I rarely feel the need to check my work on other systems. Since adding these speakers to Alchemy Sound Studios my business partner has found them an invaluable tool as well. Clients (And I) love the soundstage that the Pulsars present."
Wells Gordon
Wellington "Wells" Gordon has built a career as an audio engineer and educator with a soft spot for acoustic music, whether it's jazz, classical, or folk. He teaches in the Commercial Music program at Florida State University's College of Music, where he also works with the Eventide and Oeksound educational advisory board to bring professional-grade tools into the classroom. As an on-location recording engineer for the Washington, D.C.-based classical recording company Arts Laureate, he has captured performances for ensembles including the Baltimore Chamber Orchestra, Washington Master Chorale, Virginia Chorale, Capitol Wind Symphony, and Imani Winds. His most recent release, the cello and violin duo album Dream Sequence with Thu Vo and Masayoshi Arakawa, came out in August 2025 and features works by Erwin Schulhoff, Zoltan Kodaly, and Isaac Villaroya. Gordon relies on his Pulsar monitors to help him capture the nuance of the acoustic performances he records.
